ROME, Capital of the Roman Empire – In an unexpected turn of events, the Romans have declared war on the Special Weapons and Tactics. In this post, we will be exploring this war declaration.

The Romans of Club Penguin were founded on October 6, 2006, by Explorer777. The army returned to the army community earlier this year in June and maxed a size of 16 at their revival event. Since then they have established themselves as one of the top Small/Medium armies and have also taken the top spot on the monthly Top Ten.

On September 7, 2025, the Romans leader, Toxic Storm, announced to the Romans that they would be entering a state of war with the Special Weapons And Tactics with the reason that they want to see which army is better.

The Special Weapons And Tactics were founded by Ganger90 in 2009 and are considered to be among the greatest armies ever created. Following the closure of Club Penguin in 2017, the army returned to the Club Penguin Army scene in 2020 and have been active since. The army has consistently appeared on SMAL’s weekly top ten.

Following the Romans declaration of war on SWAT, SWAT leader WilliamW2010 forwarded the Romans war declaration to the SWAT discord and said; “WE CAN DO THIS PEOPLE. LET’S BATHE IN THE BLOOD OF SPQR!!!”, which shows that the agents have accepted this off map war by the Romans.

Since the Romans declaration of war, battles have already begun between both armies with the Romans taking the lead.

Following the Romans declaration of war on the Special Weapons And Tactics, the SM Army League reached out to Toxic Storm, leader of the Romans, and WilliamW2010, leader of SWAT, for an interview.

Why have you chosen to war SWAT? Is it truly because you wish to see which army is better or is there more to it?

Yes we wanted to see which army was better. I mean exposing SWAT’s weakness is a bonus so that they can get a wake up call, because their performance is embarrassing

What do you think the outcome of this war will be?

EZ Romans victory what else? They can’t even survive 1 room let alone win a war

Do you think this war will have a positive or a negative impact on your army?

We are having fun no matter the impact, we probably just hope that it would have a positive impact on SWAT because they need it!

How did you feel when Romans declared war on SWAT?

Surprised, thought they were better than bottomfeeding, that they maybe had some greater foes more worth their time; appears not so.

Do you think there may be more to Romans war declaration than to just see which army is better?

I do not think so, don’t even think it’s to see which army is beater; ’tis bottomfeeding, they just want a victory of any sort.

Do you feel confident that SWAT will come out on top?

I do have some hope, especially after 12 September when they no-showed.

Do you think this war will have a positive or negative impact on your army?

Positive, either we win and then we have outright won or we lose and have reason to improve; just like the Ferengi rule of Acquisition #34 “War is good for business.” Additionally us losing would make it way more apparent that Romans are bottomfeeding.
