ROME, Romans Territory – Following the retirement of three Roman Legates, TD999, Bull Hour, and Sua, the Romans have selected Toxic Storm to join the armies leadership as the newest Legate.

The Romans of Club Penguin is an army that has been around for a long time, dating back to October 6, 2006 when it was founded by Explorer777, which happens to be just a week after the opening of the Army of Club Penguin. The army was revived earlier this year and maxed a size of 16 at its revival event. They have been an active army, consistently appearing on the Top Ten and have also participated in the Summer Blitz tournament. The Romans have also recently declared war on Special Weapons And Tactics.

Toxic Storm, also known as Naji2, began playing Club Penguin in 2007, and joined his first army around 2014–2015, when he became a member of the Shadow Troops. After a break due to real-life commitments, he returned in 2020, joining the Help Force and later rejoining Shadow Troops, eventually transitioning into the Golden Guardians. Over time, he held various leadership and high-command roles in multiple armies, including co-founding Coup Crusaders, leading Secret Service to top small/medium rankings, and serving in groups like SWAT, Templars, and Mercenaries. Known for his adaptability and persistence, he remained active in the community through several revivals, including a recent Coup Crusaders comeback and tournament win in 2023. he then lead the Squids, became an advisor for Secret Service during its most recent revival and then returned to Help Force. Later on, he joined Romans Earlier this year.

On August 30, 2025, it was announced on the Romans discord server by Toxic Storm that he had been promoted to Legate, taking over as a leader of the Romans.

And now, for an interview with Toxic Storm regarding his promotion:

“Was your promotion surprising? Or was it expected?“

“It was expected, I mean it would have been surprising not being promoted. I’ve invested my time in romans helping the army and the things I did throughout the years in the S/M army community has helped me get to where I am currently.”

“What are your hopes and goals as a leader of romans?”

“Honestly im at a late stage in my CPA career, so it depends on my responsibilities irl and how i can manage to get done as much as possible before I get busy”

“What was the hardest thing you’ve been through during your history? and how did you overcome it?”

“Well some good stuff happened and some bad. I’d say one of my challenges when I was leading once was to return my staff team to the army and try to ease their frustration about the state of the army. I had a good friend back then who stood with me and helped me, so it’s best to have a support group around you and that Is one of the best ways to overcome challenges. Teamwork makes the dream work afterall”

“Where do you see Romans going a few months from now?”

“This generation has been good so far, I don’t know where it will go honestly. I do hope it goes well, but no matter what i think we had a good run and its upto us leaders to help others rise and continue supporting this army until the very end.”

“Thank You! Would you like to add anything?”

“Romans is a great army and it was a great privilege leading this army with people who care about it. I made new friends and was able to share my wisdom. I hope the community continues to support our army as we do need to preserve historical armies like Romans.”
